It probably comes as no surprise to you that, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the IMDA and HIRA boards of directors have made the decision to RESCHEDULE our 2020 Annual Conference and Manufacturers Forum, to June 21-23, 2021.

It’s true that nothing beats the face-to-face interaction found at the Annual Conference. But just as COVID-19 has forced Americans to become better acquainted with virtual gatherings, so too are we learning to use tools like GoToMeeting and Zoom to facilitate learning and networking. Those of you who dialed into our recent “bull session” about COVID-19 know what I’m talking about.

We will do everything we can to stay in touch with you, and to provide platforms for all of us to gather (albeit virtually) and exchange ideas through the pandemic. We hope you make an effort to stay in touch with your friends and colleagues too.

I truly believe we can do better together. Let’s keep doing so!

Understand your customers’ mindset during COVID-19 … and after

  • Thursday, May 28, 2020
  • 1:00 PM
  • Zoom Video Conference

In the midst of COVID-19, how are supply chain directors and value analysis professionals vetting new technologies coming into their facilities? Are the rules of value analysis changing? And if so, what might emerge as the “new normal?”

Every day, Dee Donatelli checks in with materials managers and value analysis professionals around the country to see how they’re meeting the demand for COVID-19-related products. And on Thursday, May 28 at Noon Central Time, she will share her insights with IMDA and HIRA members via Zoom conference.

Business owners and sales reps alike will learn about:

  • The specialty distributor’s role in helping providers face COVID-19-related logistics challenges.
  • Your customers’ current attitudes about face-to-face sales calls and product training in light of stay-at-home orders.
  • Your potential role in helping customers prepare to resume elective procedures.

With a background as a nurse and over 25 years of healthcare consulting experience focused on supply chain operations improvement, Dee Donatelli provides and executes plans for supply chain to collaborate with physicians, while focusing on clinical evidence and protocols to reduce variation in practice and products. She is current chair of the Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) and past president of the Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals (AHVAP).
