O'Hare International

The Searle Conference Center is located on the campus of Rush University Medical Center, which is approximately 15 to 20 miles from O'Hare International Airport (ORD), depending on the route. Driving time is typically 30–60 minutes without heavy traffic, while public transportation can take an hour or more.

Transportation options

Driving: Driving is the fastest option, but can be subject to significant traffic delays, especially during peak hours.

Public Transportation: Taking a taxi, rideshare, or the 'L' train can be a good alternative. From O'Hare, you can take the CTA Blue Line to the Illinois Medical District station, which is a short walk from the Rush University Medical Center campus. The Blue Line is a direct, affordable way to get from the airport to the medical center.

Midway

The Searle Conference Center at Rush University Medical Center is approximately 8.3 miles from Midway International Airport (MDW). The typical drive is 15–25 minutes, depending on traffic.

Transportation options

Rideshare or taxi

Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft or a taxi are a convenient way to travel directly to your destination.

Pickup location: Lower level, on the arrivals/baggage claim level.

Cost: Taxis generally cost $28–$30, but prices can fluctuate based on traffic. Uber and Lyft may be cheaper.

Public transit (CTA Orange Line)

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Orange Line provides an affordable train service between Midway and downtown Chicago.

Travel time: The train journey is typically 20–25 minutes.

Transfer: From the downtown Loop area, you will need to transfer to a bus or another train line to reach the Rush University Medical Center campus.

Hotel Shuttle

The Courtyard by Marriott Chicago at Medical District/UIC hotel offers a free shuttle service with a one-mile radius, which can be useful for reaching nearby locations like Rush University Medical Center and the United Center. It's a convenient option for guests who need transportation within the area for events or medical appointments.

Coverage: The shuttle operates within a one-mile radius of the hotel.

Destinations: It provides service to nearby locations such as Rush University Medical Center and the United Center.

Conference & Sales Forum Parking

A parking garage for the Joan and Paul Rubschlager Building is attached to the building. Rates for the garage are the same as the main parking garage on the Rush University Medical Center campus.

To access the parking garage, please enter off the Congress Parkway entrance to the east of Ashland.

If you are being dropped off, please enter the building off of Harrison at 1520 W. Harrison St. Valet parking will also be available at the front of the building.
